As the weather had been wet in the weeks before there was lots of lovely mud to play in. Our days were sunny with exception of Thursday when it absolutely poured down with rain, but as it was our water sports day it all worked out brilliantly! Nothing was going to stop us!
Each day started with a hearty breakfast in the dining room with the other schools, ready to start the day. Every morning included two activities such as aqua slide and jumping pillow, fire lighting and archery, not to mention the crate challenge and abseiling! After all the morning fun, the lunch choice included a sandwich or a nice warm pasty; plenty of fuel for the busy afternoon ahead.
Afternoon’s also included two activities to keep everyone entertained. During the week the children participated in climbing, kayaking and canoeing, blind trails and the obstacle course. A two course dinner is most welcome after all the exercise and some relaxation in Ben’s House garden playing hide and seek or chase around the building.
During the early evening, pupils played wide games in the hall or sang at the camp fire. The highlight being the disco, when it was time to get dressed up to go out to boogie. Nights were quiet, all the children were ready for their beds after such busy days in the great outdoors. It was a truly memorable week that both staff and children remember with a smile.
